How my understanding of art criticism influences my interaction with and perception of art

When looking at artworks or exhibitions as a whole, I tend to immediately judge the works based on personal taste and understanding art criticism has not only helped me form my own critiques of artistic works based on prior research and and increasing thirst for knowledge but it has also given me the ability to understand my own work at a deeper level and form more solid opinions on what makes a good artwork beyond my own personal taste.

This has influenced my interactions with people, mainly in the art scene, where it became much easier to compare and contrast opinions, give constructive feedback catered to the artist and overall have more meaningful discussions.
